In a series of four workshops in June, participants experimented with different media each week to create mini pieces of art to use in their tabletop gaming. We worked with a range of materials such as Super Sculpey, armature wire, modelling foam, and digital techniques such as 3D modelling and printing. Then in the final session we glued, painted and photographed our work.
In the first week we discussed the materials and sketched some ideas. We started cutting into the foam to build the rocky terrain. In the following week we scuttled with modelling clay.
In the third week, participants learnt how to create 3D models which they then printed and primed for the final week where we wrapped up the whole four-weeks with assembling and painting each component.
